Community Outreach

Neighborhood Practice, Global Connection

At H.I.P we value connection.  In caring for your children and family, we recognize the power of a trusting relationship, rooted in compassion, between patient and healthcare provider.

As our H.I.P community has grown, we would like to honor the connection we feel to the greater Denver community and beyond. January 2016 marks the first of a monthly commitment from H.I.P to a highlighted non-profit. The groups will range from local to international organizations that are working to improve the care of children dealing with illness or inadequate access to quality healthcare.

We believe strongly in the power of preventive medicine. To honor the commitment our families have to promoting wellness in their own children, we pledge to donate $1 for every Well Care visit at H.I.P to our chosen non-profit of the month.

We invite you to check in with us on our home page under "What's New at H.I.P." and on Facebook each month to learn about the H.I.P non-profit of the month.

February and March 2017

We sent our donation for February and March to Heritage Camps.  Their mission is accomplished by facilitating events which provide culturally relevant and family-centered experiences for every member of the family.  These events provide individuals and families with both a deeper sense of community and an individual identity.  It is their goal that all adoptees will develop a knowledge of themselves and their culture of origin and that families will have a better awareness of, and sense of pride in, their adopted family member’s birth heritage. HCAF assists children, adults, and families in becoming a part of a larger community “just like themselves,” with shared experiences, challenges, and opportunities.

Our donation to begin goes to Partners in Health. PIH is a world leader in creating sustainable improvements to some of the most under resourced healthcare systems in the world. They are an ideal recipient of our donation as they are taking inovative steps to improve the health of children around the world and here at home.

We chose this non-profit for their excellent work and mission, and to honor H.I.P patients who have had to travel to other cities for treatment and find similar housing options.
